Police have published concerning video illustrating a motorist executing hazardous drifting maneuvers on a roundabout during an unauthorized vehicle gathering, placing spectators at grave risk of injury.
A 23-year-old from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after pleading guilty to dangerous driving.
In addition, the judge issued a 12-month driving ban and ordered community service along with a behavioral course.
According to authorities, the video was captured at an illegal car meet in Portsmouth on December 28th, 2024, showing the driver operating a distinctive colored vehicle.
“This footage demonstrates the shocking moment when a dangerous motorist skidded around a traffic circle at an unauthorized vehicle event, as crowds looked on despite the risk of severe harm.”
Officials reported that more than 200 offences involving unauthorized vehicle events in the region have been addressed in approximately 12 months.

An officer commented: “Residents, motorists and our roads policing teams have had enough with these groups of motorists selfishly occupying public roads and parking areas and we will not tolerate it.”
