Recent Details Come to Light Concerning the Location of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Bodies

New information has come to light about the tragic demises of renowned film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Brentwood, Los Angeles property on Sunday.

The Discovery

According to a report quoting a family associate, a practitioner arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the home. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

Upon entering the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Accounts indicate she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. Another individual who had accompanied her contacted 911. Subsequently, emergency responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, along with the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently in custody and denied bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source questioned several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

The source also pushed back against circulated notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "worried" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation applies to reports of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a gathering thrown by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. Although the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they asserted that reports of a "blow-up" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Timeline

As stated by law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports indicated the condition of their bodies implied they had been deceased for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, about 15 miles from the residence. He was set to appear in court on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would not appear until Wednesday or later.
