The House Oversight Committee has made public a set of approximately 70 photos secured from the holdings of late found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third release from a larger collection of more than 95,000 images the committee has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It contains pictures of passages from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a female's body, and censored images of female overseas passports.

This action comes mere hours before the December 19th cut-off for the Justice Department to disclose all records associated with its inquiry into Epstein.

"These photographs pose more inquiries about exactly what the Justice Department has in its custody," said the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Images Made Public

Several of the images made public on recently feature Epstein speaking with academic and activist Noam Chomsky aboard a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned alongside a individual whose features is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a desk opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent high-net-worth, influential figures to be pictured in Epstein estate photos disclosed by the committee - earlier disclosed pictures also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the photographs is is not considered evidence of any misconduct, and a number of the pictured men have asserted they were in no way implicated in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement accompanying the photo release, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer context or dates for the photographs.

"Photos were selected to furnish the American people with openness into a typical cross-section of the photographs acquired from the property, and to provide insights into Epstein's associates and his profoundly disturbing behavior," the statement reads.

The disclosure also includes several images of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita inscribed in dark ink across various areas of a woman's body, such as her upper body, foot, pelvis, and spine. Lolita narrates the account of a minor who was exploited by a middle-aged literature professor.

A particular passage from the novel inscribed across a female's torso says, "Lo-lee-ta: the end of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the roof of the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a collection of images of female identification and official papers from states globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Epstein appears to be aiding the third fasten a bracelet.

Another photograph made public is a capture of digital messages from an unknown sender who states they have been sent "several females" and are asking for "$$1,000 per female".

Image Disclosure Arrives Before DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "both explicit and ordinary," its press release on recently explained.

The Congressional committee first subpoenaed the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The photos and records the Epstein estate's representatives provided to the panel are distinct from what is often called "Epstein-related records". That material are documents within the justice department's custody associated with its separate probe into Epstein.

In accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Donald Trump enacted last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to disclose its records. The extent of what is found in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's likely that much of the content will be heavily obscured, comparable to House Oversight Committee releases
