Brian Eno Urges Public Help to Get Palestinian Solidarity Lullaby to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A charity drive is aiming to propel a cultural melody to the Christmas number one spot. The campaign aims to provide aid to Gaza's residents while also highlighting Palestinian cultural expression.

A Possibility for Solidarity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a chance to support Palestinians during the holidays. He acknowledged the potential for an unexpected chart success.

ā€œIt would be incredible if that happened, yes,ā€ he said. ā€œI wouldn't be completely disappointed if it doesn’t, holiday tracks are a thing unto themselves.ā€

Defiant Message of Freedom and Dignity

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who performs on the adaptation of a folk song called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's powerful central theme.

ā€œIt has a very special place for a lot of people,ā€ Barghouti explained. ā€œThe essence is that I would prefer a dignified death than live a life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we want to live a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.ā€

Production History and Featured Artists

The track was produced after a solidarity show held in late summer. Originally intended to be done as a live recording, the rendition was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The notable list of musicians contributing to Lullaby includes a selection of prominent voices from the industry. All participated in the September show, which reportedly raised a considerable total for charitable causes.

Production and Release

Lullaby was produced by a trio of talented individuals. The track features a mix of the traditional Arabic lyrics with contemporary English verses.

The group managing the project have clarified that their aim is to generate maximum funds for a specific fund. These donations will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an established charity.

ā€œThere is no a rigid aim,ā€ a representative explained. ā€œWe’ll go for whatever we can get. Obviously, the greater the amount, the better. All proceeds are directed out to the people of Gaza.ā€

The situation in the territory was characterized as its extreme devastation, with a overwhelming percentage of infrastructure said to be levelled or seriously harmed.

ā€œGiven that reality, a few million doesn’t make a massive dent. But I think what does make a difference is above all making this cause better known and proving the human dimension of the story.ā€

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from the 19th of December.
